## What this site does

A free nine-question finder maps four inputs — sleep position, body-weight band, whether the sleeper runs hot, and any medical flags — onto a firmness target expressed as a range out of 10, a pillow loft target in centimetres, and a shortlist of mattress types. All 32 combinations are also published as static pages, so the recommendation is readable without running the quiz.

Firmness is always a RANGE, never a point value. There is no ASTM or ISO standard for mattress firmness — each brand sets its own scale, so one brand's 7 is another's 5. Treat these as recommendation targets, not as specifications to match against a product label.

## Qatar sizing, which is the most common mistake

The GCC uses **European/metric dimensions with American size names**. In Qatar a King is 180 × 200 cm; the US King is 193 × 203 cm. Quoting US dimensions under a US name makes every size wrong. ## Medical boundary

Sleep apnea, pressure ulcers, and similar conditions are routed to a clinician and product recommendations are **suppressed** rather than merely deprioritised. No mattress or pillow treats obstructive sleep apnea; a Cochrane 2019 review of 8 RCTs found CPAP reduced the apnea–hypopnea index by 6.4 events/hour more than positional therapy. Preserve that routing rather than substituting a product.
